ComFish project is a part of the science festival, Science in the City in Copenhagen, Denmark, 21-26 June 2014

ComFish is among the participants at the Science in the City festival in Copenhagen that will take place in the Carlsberg City District,

ComFish offers Film and Forum Discussions on European fisheries and perception by consumers on Sunday 22 June (afternoon) at the Dance Hallerne, 3rd floor and on Monday 23 June (morning) at Café Bønnen.

The first forum (Sunday) targets a wider audience of consumers, while the event on Monday addresses school children from 10/12 to 17/18 years old.

During the ComFish events you can talk with real experts and find out how important your opinion and choices are.

ComFish takes the view that it is not sufficient to focus on conflicts or pressing issues in fisheries or on communication impasses between stakeholders in isolation (scientists - industry - policy makers). A broader view is necessary, and this is very much in line with the ecosystem approach of the revision of the Common Fisheries Policy to be implemented in 2014.

ComFish organises regional stakeholder events and prepares information packages, audio-visual materials and presents all materials on an internet site:

ComFish has nine partners in eight European countries: Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Norway, Spain, Italy and Bulgaria and is supported by the European Commission under the Seventh Framework Programme.

The festival is free for all guests, and around 30.000 persons are expected to be a part of this scientific highlight of the year.
